Technical Overview
SlicerTracto is the culmination of research at IIT Mandi's MANAS Lab into a production-ready open-source 3D Slicer extension. Designed for neuro-radiologists and neurosurgeons, SlicerTracto integrates novel AI foundational models (TractoEmbed, TractoGPT, and TractRL-former) into the familiar 3D Slicer medical software suite. The tool enables clinicians to load Diffusion MRI (dMRI) scans, run fiber tracking algorithms, visualize 3D white matter bundles in real time, and execute accurate anatomical tract segmentation. SlicerTracto supports local execution on consumer workstations as well as background GPU server offloading.
